Making a K-wave is what Diploma in Business Administration (DBA)’s Aung Shin Khant, Pua Seng Oon and James Ang have done in Myanmar. During a market research as part of their entrepreneurship module, the team realised that there was a demand for Korean skincare products in Myanmar.
Riding on the market needs, the trio gave birth to Keeo, a K-beauty and personal care store in Myanmar that carries items from main Korean brands.
In just a week of their store’s official opening, they have made a handsome profit. The store also brings in products based on pre-orders and customer requests, such as sunblock for golfers.
“We were able to relate what we have learnt in school such as digital marketing, budgeting and start-up financing,” shares final year student Seng Oon.
“Our first year modules in economics, business and accountancy provided us with a good foundation!”
