Mapping Singapore’s Future One Ramp At A Time

Mapping Singapore’s future one ramp at a time

We are proud of our Diploma in Landscape Architecture (DLA) students who played an active part in creating a barrier-free society for people with disabilities in Singapore. As part of their Universal Design module, 25 DLA students spent six weeks mapping barrier-free routes in the Central Business District suitable for people with disabilities. The results of their research and onsite data have been passed on to the Building and Construction Authority and the Disabled People Association.

Year 3 student Lucas Chia, who was one of the participants shares, “The CBD Accessibility project taught me the importance of making places accessible for all and also made me appreciate the opportunities given to us by DLA to create a better world for our future generations.”

Just imagine mapping Singapore’s future. Join us at #SPOH20 from 9-11 Jan, 10am-6pm! #speye #singaporepoly #SPOH20
