If changing lives through drama is your thing, your search for the perfect diploma ends here!
When Jasmine Chew learned of SP’s Diploma in Applied Drama & Psychology (DADP), she was fondly reminded of her days doing community work back at Fuhua Secondary and how much she enjoyed it. Without her parents’ knowledge, she applied for the course and put in her heart and soul. During her first year, she volunteered at Beyond Social Services where she helped to stage drama productions, opening up conversations on societal issues. She eventually did her internship with Beyond Social Services as well.
Being in the social sector and helping others helped put things into perspective for Jasmine. She shares, “For a period of time, things were not going well between my parents and there were lots of arguments at home.” By putting her energy into helping others, she was able to gain strength and this reinforced her decision to be a full-time social worker.
With the support of her parents, Jasmine is now a full-time community worker at Beyond Social Services!
