I can widen my horizons

Wong Sheau Qian always knew that she wanted to pursue a career in tourism. She chose SP’s Tourism and Resort Management as it emphasised on the business and management aspects of hospitality, which was what she wanted.

As part of the course, Sheau Qian was attached to the Disney College Programme in the United States for six months. She was enrolled in classes at the University of California Riverside to complete her Disney Collegiate courses and was later transferred to her internship at Walt Disney World, Orlando. There, she worked in the Tomorrowland attractions and Fantasyland merchandise department. How cool was that!

Sheau Qian shares her passion was reignited during the internship. “This opportunity allowed me to apply what I learnt in a world-renowned hospitality environment. It had definitely increase my motivation and drive to pursue my career in customer service and tourism!”

She is currently looking forward to joining Disney again under the Professional Internships Program after graduation.
