I can improve quality of life

For Kimberley Lim, going to poly after ‘O’ levels was considered a risk as most of her peers had decided on a JC route. But, Kimberley preferred the applied learning approach in poly as it augured well with her learning style.

Kimberley came to SP’s Open House and was drawn to the Diploma in Biomedical Science. The kinesthetic learner liked that the course would provide her with a solid foundation in clinical science.

In SP, Kimberley led community service initiatives including public health screenings. She also took the diploma plus programme in phlebotomy, which certified her to draw blood from patients. Kimberly took up a three-week internship at a local polyclinic which affirmed her decision to pursue a career in the healthcare sector.

Fuelled by her passion, the future surgeon is currently in NUS’ Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Kimberly joins 26 illustrious SP alumni who have chosen to pursue a medical degree locally.
