Patrick Siah is the owner of architectural firm W5A – yes, he named his firm after SP’s architecture block!
“I decided to name it after SP’s architecture block because of all the good memories that place holds for me,” shared the Diploma in Architecture (DARCH) alumnus.
After SP, Patrick did his Degree and Master’s overseas before joining a multinational design practice in Singapore. After that, he ventured out and founded his own style.
“It was not an easy journey. I am most thankful for the exposure and project experiences that SP has given me. The well-rounded education honed my technical and design skills that put me ahead of my peers at the University of Melbourne.”
You would also never guess that this former Monk’s Hill Secondary School (now known as Balestier Hill Secondary School) is Dyslexic. Patrick focused on his heightened visual abilities and excelled in 3D design classes! Moving forward, he hopes to even design spaces to benefit people with Dyslexia!
